Hey folks! Wondering what new treasures await you today in the comic shop? We have you covered. Not only can you find a comprehensive list of all the new comics, graphic novels and restocks we received in this week’s Incoming post, we’ve had a chance to read some of today’s books, and have some spoiler free thoughts for you!

These typically go out on Tuesday night over on Twitter, so if you want to get in on the action early, pop over there and look for the #preNCBD hashtag to get the scoop.

Who is ready for some #preNCBD recommendations? We’re doing a book launch tonight so things will get into full gear LATER, but I wanted to talk about some @TKOpresents books off the top.

These are books that DON’T come through Diamond, so not all shops will carry them.

SARA – a group of Soviet ladies beat back the Nazis on the Eastern front, featuring the hard fought war storytelling of Garth Ennis and the phenomenal real-to-life renders of Steve Epting #preNCBD pic.twitter.com/y7uyXpMrKR

The FEARSOME DOCTOR FANG is a take on adventure strips of old, taking various pulp elements, and giving them a great modern twist – including discarding tired ideas of “mysterious Asia”. pic.twitter.com/e1YC5cn8t5

GOODNIGHT PARADISE is a homeless noir tale focusing on a lost soul in Venice Beach who finds a discarded body, and needs to work through the crime using what little of himself he has.

Addresses mental health and homeless issues as the tale progresses, which is key. #preNCBD pic.twitter.com/lJyZreH32O

Finally, my favourite. A revenge western that’s more about redemption than getting what’s owed. This story tackles a lot of the ills of western colonialism as a revenge tale with a diverse cast of characters and motivations. #preNCBD pic.twitter.com/DsKr9ZyZcT

This take on Oliver Twist has a, uh… well, a twist. A post apocalyptic story one. If you’re itching for a bit more dystopia in your Dickensian storytelling, you’ve got it here. #PreNCBD pic.twitter.com/woI879fn1b

NAOMI is a great small town view of big DC superheroes book, with a solid mystery at the core. One part “Stars Hollow”, with a dash of the fantastic. A daring title to add to the line. I can’t wait to see where this goes. #preNCBD pic.twitter.com/ZhD5B1Uey9

A non-spoilery thing in AVANT-GUARDS. The school they’re at is called “The Georgia O’Keefe College of Arts and Subtle Dramatics”.

Everyone is so gorgeous in BLOSSOMS 666. Braga is super talented at what she does. pic.twitter.com/rTevMCxwpA

The new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY kicks things off big. Thanos is dead (surprise!) but he’s left one last present for all who have survived him. Quick, funny and surprising, this book brings a great mix of fun and danger, with @Doncates and @GeoffShaw12 killing it. Again. #PreNCBD pic.twitter.com/Z7cNvAIUJN

A stunning read by @Al_Ewing and co. CRYPT OF SHADOWS takes the horror promise of his work on IMMORTAL HULK and goes full old school horror comic. I can’t say enough good things about this read. Grab this one shot if you see it! #preNCBD pic.twitter.com/nZ0SmDDNun
